A fundraiser for the Waukomis Sooner Celebration will be Feb. 18 in the Waukomis Public Schools cafeteria.
The tickets for the fundraiser are $10 each and can be purchased from any Waukomis student who exhibits livestock or from Mr. Johnson or Mr. Vanover. The ticket includes a pork chop dinner with baked potato, baked beans, french bread and dessert.
The event also will feature the annual trophy auction and a silent auction.
Dinner will be 6-7 p.m., and the auction will be 7-8 p.m.
Waukomis Sooner Celebration is put on by Waukomis Fair Board and includes a 5K, horseshoe-throwing contest, turtle race, kids’ games, a car show, watermelon feed, tractor pull, lawn-mower races, a parade and a fireworks show.
