ENID, Okla. —
Waller Middle School will present an energetic and patriotic musical, “We the People,” on Saturday.
In the lively story line of the play, townspeople decide to put on a patriotic show and set about planning for it. As they plan, the audience witnesses the scenes the planning committee envisions.
A local nonprofit will have a table set up in the lobby of the show.
“The Blue Star Mothers will be at the musical, both shows, with a table set up with items to sell as well as information about their projects,” said Susan Vineyard, Waller speech and drama teacher.
The cast includes two students from other middle schools: Rachael Killiam, a student at Emerson Middle School; and Alexandria Woerner, a student at Fairview.
Waller cast members include Christine Anderson, Allie Barron, Chloe Bennett, Cameron Caffee, Austin Dodd, Kayla Herrick, Marshall Holt, Emmitt Holtz, Carol Jarrett, Kamryn Kerr, Demetria Kincade, Robert Laramore, Katy Lundy, Chance Miller, Rylon Miller, Shelby Ochs, Sydney Ochs, Shayla Rufenacht, Elizabeth Shilling, Dylan Stanly, Emily Tanner, Autumn Talamante and Monica Wages.
Alexandria Hernandez and Skyler Smith are the lights and sound crew.
Show times are 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5. Students with ID, children 10 and under, veterans and active-duty military will be admitted free.
