ENID, Okla. —
Northern Oklahoma College will continue peering five years into the future at its third strategic planning town hall meeting Wednesday.
Community members, faculty and staff at all three campuses will be linked via video 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday. In Enid, the meeting will be held in Room 110 of the Zollars building.
During the meeting, the group will examine specific objectives developed in response to the five goals earlier identified in October and November planning meetings, said Pam Stinson, associate vice president for academic affairs and chair of the strategic planning task force.
“We had five goals initially in our strategic plan,” Stinson said. “We have created a task force for each of those goals. Each of those task forces has identified five to eight specific goals.”
The college wants input from those who attend the meeting, and members of the community are encouraged to come, Stinson said.
“We are a community college, so we want to be an influence and respond to community needs,” she said.
The strategic planning process is expected to roll along into April, then another meeting will be held, Stinson said.
Bill Johnson, public information officer for NOC, said the college is asking for reservations in order to make sure enough materials are available for the meeting. To make a reservation, call (580) 628-6210 by Monday.
“For those unable to attend, suggestions may be submitted by mail to NOC, P.O. Box 310, Tonkawa, OK 74653, attention Dr. Pam Stinson,” Johnson said.ā
