ENID, Okla. —
Caring for an aging loved one can be an overwhelming experience for many people in living in northwest Oklahoma.
An estimated 44 million American families and friends provide unpaid help to another person. If you are one of the 44 million, you are at a higher risk for depression, stress and health problems.
Public Library of Enid and Garfield County and NODA Area Agency on Aging will host Solutions for the Family Caregiver at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the library, 120 W. Maine.
The program will provide information, answers and links to community resources and services, in an effort to provide families and friends with relief from their daily responsibilities and support to help them continue their role, said Judy Rupp, care coordinator for NODA Area Agency on Aging.
Rupp will facilitate a round-table discussion. Members of the panel will be Dr. Deborah May, psychologist; Robyn Springer, Advantage Program, Medicaid Waiver Program; and David Huff, NODA AAA.
Call Jade at the library, 616-7187, to reserve a seat. The program is free and open to the public.

Donations being taken for tornado victims
Donations can be made by visiting www.redcross.org or $10 can be donated by texting “REDCROSS” to 90999. The donation will be added to your monthly cell phone bill. Monetary donations are being taken at the Red Cross office, 1023 West Elm, in Enid. A supply drop-off is at 2811 W. Garriott.
