A Fairview teenager was injured Wednesday in a one-vehicle accident near Longdale.
Kimberly Ann Ward, 17, was taken to Fairview Regional Hospital, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, with head and trunk injuries. No information on her condition was available at press time.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. on Oklahoma 58 two and one-half miles north of Longdale in Blaine County.
According to the report, Ward was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro south on Oklahoma 58 when her went off the road to the right. She then over-corrected and went off the left side of the road, hitting a tree.
Ward was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report, which listed Òdistraction from inside the vehicleÓ as the cause.
