ENID —
A collision between a car and a motorcycle at Washington and Purdue Wednesday evening sent a Waukomis man to the hospital.
Enid Police Department Officer Tim Hammer said the accident occurred at about 5:43 p.m., when Darril McIntosh, of Waukomis, was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Purdue, just east of Van Buren.
Hammer said a four-door compact sedan driven by Warren Ullrich, of Enid, was stopped at the intersection of Washington and Purdue headed south on Washington. Hammer said Ullrich pulled out from the stop in front of McIntosh, and McIntosh struck Ullrich’s sedan in the rear passenger side of the vehicle.
McIntosh was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, and he was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center by Life EMS. Hammer said information on McIntosh’s injuries was not available, but McIntosh was “awake and conscious when he left the scene.”
Ullrich was not injured.
