Community Development Support Association, or CDSA, is sponsoring a Group Work Camp in July.
Work camps are intensive one-week trips that help people grow through service. Individuals and youth from across the country will spend one week in the community performing hands-on home-repair for elderly, low-income and disabled families.
Five young people and at least one adult leader will do the work at each home. Projects include porch repair and construction, step repair, exterior and interior painting, wheelchair ramp construction and repair, mobile home skirting and mobile home roof coating.
No plumbing, electrical, HVAC, window or door replacement will be performed, nor will roofing other than listed above.
Both labor and materials are free to qualifying households. To learn how your home might be included, contact CDSA at 2615 E. Randolph or call 242-6600 for a confidential application.
For more information, contact Mike Biggers at (580) 242-6600.
