Integris Health, Healthy Communities Initiative to offer online resource tool for Garfield County

ENID, Okla. — Integris Health has partnered with the Healthy Communities Institute to offer an online resource of health and population data for Garfield County.

Developed through research at the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard Medical School, this tool is designed to help health care providers, local health departments, community coalitions and policy makers gain integral information about health and quality of life indicators for the communities they serve.

Sponsored by the Healthy Communities Institute, this addition to the Integris Health website brings together current population data, health information and best practices to offer a positive impact on the health of the community.

With the launch of the new site, Integris Health is the first health system in the state of Oklahoma to introduce this key interactive tool for its community partners to identify and address issues that impact the health of the community.

The information provided by the site is a valuable resource for Integris Health’s community benefit program in helping to understand the needs of the community and develop programs and services to meet those needs, especially for the poor and underserved. Integris Health has made the online resource open and available to all.

The site includes a Community Health Dashboard; dozens of demographics for Garfield County and 28 other counties including age, sex, race, income, housing, education and language; disparities in health broken out by race, ethnicity, age, gender and other groups; more than 1,000 community based interventions; and a report center that shows local and national reports and fact sheets on special topics of interest.

The site also includes a report assistant so anyone accessing information on the site can find and integrate the information into a report.
