High school juniors and seniors interested in attending college, as well as their parents, can avail themselves of the opportunity to bone up on financial aid.
The Enid High School Guidance Office will host a financial aid meeting at 6 tonight in the lectorium on the first floor on the high school. Parents and students can learn more about applying for financial aid and other types of college assistance.
The meeting will include information on applying for financial aid and other types of assistance for college.
A representative from the Oklahoma College Assistance Program will be available at this evening’s meeting.
Northern Oklahoma College will have an informational open house, Northern Exposure, for high school junior and seniors at 10 a.m. Jan. 26.
Students and their families can learn about NOC degree programs, admission, scholarships, financial aid, extracurricular activities, clubs and organizations, intramurals, concerts, testing and more.
Students can enter a drawing to win tuition waivers, tour the campus, indulge in refreshments and take home free giveaways.
The Northern Exposure event will be in Montgomery Hall, located in the Gantz Student Center.
Autry Technology Center will include a free application for federal student aid workshop as part of its Feb. 12 open house. The come-and-go workshop will be geared to help students and parents fill out the FAFSA form online.
A list of the information that needs to be gathered to fill out the FAFSA can be found on the Autry website, www.autrytech.com.
This is the first year the application requires a tax transcript from the IRS. An IRS data retrieval process will be implemented on the FAFSA website Feb. 1.
The priority deadline to be in the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant applicant pool is March 1.
The FAFSA deadline for all student funding to be in place when classes begin in August is June 15.
