AMES —
The town of Ames began its annual Ames Days celebration Friday evening, and festivities continue all day today.
The public is invited to make a visit to Ames and help the townspeople celebrate.
A parade is scheduled to begin at noon and there is a pie-eating contest in the American Legion building at 2 p.m.
Other events include a basketball contest and games for all ages. People also may pay a visit to the Ames Astrobleme Museum and the town’s war memorial.
