The second annual Junior Welfare League’s Warm Your Heart 5K and one-mile fun run will be 9 a.m. Saturday in downtown Enid.
The race will begin at 121 N. Grand. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign.
“The women of Junior Welfare League of Enid are very excited to sponsor this run,” said run coordinator Heidi Ritchie. “We realize that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, and we wanted to do something to promote awareness of such a big health issue in our nation, and specifically Oklahoma.
Title sponsors are St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. Registration is $25 to run the 5K and $15 to run the one-mile fun run. Pre-registration ends Wednesday. To get registered, go to www.earlysignup.com/warmyourheartrun.
