ENID, Okla. —
A Kansas woman was killed Monday in a two-vehicle accident in Woods County.
Rylee Cheyenne Miller, 21, of Brookville, Kan., was pronounced dead at Share Medical Center in Alva, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 10:50 a.m. one and a half miles south of U.S. 64 on a county road.
According to the report, Miller was driving a 2005 Chevy Equinox north on the county road when she went into the southbound lane in front of a 1998 Peterbilt driving by Rex Wayne Milbers, 55, of Carrier. Milbers took evasive action to the left, and Miller went back to the right and the vehicles collided in the northbound lane, according to the report.
Miller’s vehicle ended up in a field, while Milbers’ truck stopped on the road.
Miller was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
