The school bond election is slated Tuesday. All regular voting precincts will be open. The first proposed bond resolution is a building bond for $730,000 to install windows and remodel rest rooms; the second is a transportation bond for $180,000 to purchase two new buses.

The 5-8 basketball teams will travel to Garber Monday, with games starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Covington Historical Society will meet 10 a.m. Jan. 15, at the Tri County Senior Center. Everyone is welcome.

Holy Communion will be served at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Covington United Methodist Church. There will be a Fellowship dinner Jan 13 following the worship service. Stan Balser, from U.M. Conference, will be there to answer questions about investments or donations in Circle of Care Program, which covers many facets of missions. His presentation will be after the lunch.

St. John’s Lutheran Church will have Worship Service with Communion at 8:45 Sunday, which also is Mite Box Sunday. A council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 13; a voters meeting also will be held at 7 p.m.
The United Exercise and Prayer Partners meet at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday at the church. On Thursdays, a weekly Bible study is held at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
