Phillips University Legacy Foundation has announced the 2013-14 Undergraduate Scholarship applications are available at www.pulf.org/applications.
The scholarship is available to incoming freshmen as well as college sophomores, juniors and seniors.
The Legacy Foundation’s Undergraduate Scholarship and Leadership Training Program grants annual awards of up to $5,000 per year to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a liberal arts education at any of the 17 colleges or universities affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Since 2002, the foundation has awarded $956,250 in scholarship funds. Recipients are chosen based on their academic achievements, their present and potential leadership in the church, their chosen vocation and their community. The foundation also provides specialized leadership training for the Legacy Scholars at an annual, all-expense paid four-day leadership development conference. Scholars are required to perform a 40-hour volunteer service project and share their experiences at the leadership conference. For information or to apply for the Phillips University Legacy Foundation’s Undergraduate Scholarship and Leadership Training Program, contact Cheryl Fowler, scholarship administrator at (580) 237-4433. Application deadline is March 15.
