ENID, Okla. —
Ward 3 hopeful Ben Ezzell and Ward 6 candidates Joey Meibergen III and David W. Vanhooser all filed for election to the Enid City Commission, while all area incumbents filed for re-election to area school boards Monday, the first day of the three-day filing period.
Ezzell was the first city commission candidate to file, followed by Meibergen and Vanhooser later in the day. No candidate has yet filed for Enid City Commission Ward 4. That office currently is held by Drew Ritchie, who announced he will not run again.
In school board races, all incumbents filed for re-election.
Autry Tech Zone Leslie D. Clickner, an incumbent, filed. Chisholm Office No. 3 incumbent Jennifer Kisling filed for office Monday, as did Covington-Douglas Office 3 incumbent Ross W. Gregg. In Enid Office 3, incumbent Ernie Currier filed along with Office No. 6 incumbent Kyle Whitehead. Incumbent John Stone filed for the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Office 3 position.
A Drummond school board position remains unfilled.
Filing will continue today and conclude at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
