School board meeting Monday night

ENID, Okla. — Construction-related change orders will be taken up by the Enid Public Schools Board of Education when its members meet at 6:30 Monday night in the Enid High School auditorium.

The board will consider a change order increasing the contract with Timberlake Construction Co., Oklahoma City, by $28,575 for several electrical changes and irrigation work at Prairie View Elementary. Irrigation work accounts for nearly $13,000 of the total.

Board members also will take up a change order to reduce the amount of fencing at the new bus parking lot, saving $2,126, and remove two large trees on the fence line, adding $1,886, for a total that reduces the contract with Hembree and Hodgson Construction by $241.

The third change order would increase the contract with Heritage Construction by $4,381 for installation of horizontal louver blinds and additional signage for restrooms at Monroe Elementary.

In other matters, the board will review a slate of routine fund transfers, requests for purchases from activity funds, and encumbrances of various accounts.

An executive session to consider hirings, retirements and resignations also is on the agenda.
