ENID — For area entrepreneurs, or those thinking of starting their own businesses, Autry Technology Center is offering a series of classes focusing on improving business management skills.
The first of eight sessions will meet 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Guest speaker for the first class Michael Morris, professor and department head of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. He will discuss what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur and how to succeed in a small business in hard economic times.
Each of the following sessions will focus on a different business topic, and participants will benefit from the expertise of a different guest speaker.
“Dr. Morris is a successful business owner, a seasoned educator and a nationally respected expert in the field of entrepreneurship,” said Brian Gaddy, coordinator for James W. Strate Center of Business Development at Autry Tech. “We are honored to welcome him as our first speaker for this helpful series. Entrepreneurs of all backgrounds will benefit from his insight.”
For information or to enroll for this class or the entire series, contact Autry Technology Center at 242-2750. The campus is closed for spring break this week. The fee is $20 for one class or $120 for the series and includes presentations, handouts, one-on-one consulting and other benefits.
James W. Strate Center for Business Development offers a wide range of services for new and emerging businesses in northwest Oklahoma. It is located behind the main campus of Autry at 1201 W. Willow.
