KINGFISHER COUNTY — Three Okeene residents remain in serious condition at Kingfisher Regional Hospital after a Friday accident near Kingfisher.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. 10 miles west of Kingfisher on Oklahoma 33. According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol re-port, a 2001 Lincoln Navigator, driven by 33-year-old Okeene resident Jennifer D. Cannon, was driving southbound on Loyal blacktop and didn’t stop at a stop sign. The vehicle she was driving entered Oklahoma 33 and struck a 1993 Kenworth semi driven by 48-year-old Roy Dean Henderson of Kingfisher.
Upon collision, Cannon’s vehicle rolled over once and came to rest on its wheels. The semi stopped on the westbound shoulder of Oklahoma 33.
Cannon had four passengers, all of Okeene: Ricky Cannon, 39; Brookelynn Cannon, 10; Zach Cannon, 14; and Annie Phelps, 12. The OHP report said Brookelynn Cannon, Annie Phelps and Zach Cannon were ejected after the accident. The report noted seat belts were not in use in the vehicle.
Jennifer Cannon sustained head, trunk, arm and leg injuries and was listed in stable condition. Meanwhile, Ricky Cannon, Brookelynn Cannon and Annie Phelps all were listed in serious condition. Ricky had injuries to his head, trunk, arm and leg. Brookelynn was transferred to OU Medical Center with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Phelps also was transferred to OU Medical Center with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Zach Cannon also sustained head, trunk, arm and leg injuries and was in stable condition.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
