Intersection crash injures woman

ENID, Okla. — An Enid woman was injured when her 2005 Mercury struck a 1998 Ford Explorer at the intersection of Garriott and Grand Friday evening.

Enid Police Department officer Charles Daniels said Peggy Keely, 62, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer westbound on Garriott, and attempted to turn left onto Grand at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

“She had a green light, but not a green arrow,” Daniels said.

Keely’s SUV hit an eastbound 2005 Mercury driven by Stephanie DeClerck, 53, also of Enid. DeClerck was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for treatment of possible leg and back injuries, Daniels said.

Ashlin Zink, 11, Enid, a passenger in the Ford, was taken to St. Mary’s with possible neck injuries, Daniels said.

Esther DeClerck, 18, a passenger in the Mercury, and Kianna Clark-Williams, 11, a passenger in the Ford, did not report injuries.

Keely was ticketed for failure to yield, Daniels said.
