ENID, Okla. —
There is no new information in the murder of 24-year-old Heath Crites, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police Chief Brian O’Rourke said Sunday there have been no arrests, but leads still are being pursued. “There’s nothing new, and the investigation is still ongoing,” he said.
Police identified Crites as the victim of a murder that occurred in the 300 block of East Columbia. Crites was shot multiple times. Police spokesman Jack Morris said EPD received a 911 call at about 2:18 a.m. Saturday of an unresponsive man at the East Columbia address. Police found the man’s body, later identified as Crites, lying on the living room floor at the residence, located east of Enid Cemetery and south of the Garfield County Fairgrounds.
No arrests have been made.
The homicide is the second in Enid this year. The first involved the February stomping death of a man in a westside Enid bar.
