Autry Technology Center and Northwest Technology Center both earned gold star ratings from the Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers.
The award, given at the annual Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Educators Summer Conference, recognizes technology centers demonstrating a high level of excellence.
Northwest Technology Center serves Alva, Aline-Cleo, Canton, Cherokee, Fairview, Freedom, Ringwood and Waynoka school districts.
“During the past year, Northwest Technology Center has worked with over 100 business and industry partners in the areas of training and business development,” said Pat McGregor, executive director of the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education. “Northwest is proud of its business partnerships and its partnerships with other technology centers.”
Autry’s schools include Chisholm, Cimarron, Covington-Douglas, Enid, Garber, Kremlin-Hillsdale, Oklahoma Bible Academy, Pioneer and Waukomis.
“Autry also serves students who live in the district and attend private school or are homeschooled,” said Melissa Baker, director of communications and marketing at Autry. “During the past year, Autry has worked with over 500 business and industry partners in the areas of business training and development.”
