Suddenlink Communications has increased the speeds of most of its high-speed Internet services in Enid, with no added charge.
Current Internet services with download speeds up to 1, 8 and 10 megabits per second (Mbps) have been increased up to 1.5, 10 and 15 Mbps, respectively, and been re-named Suddenlink High Speed Internet 1.5, 10.0 and 15.0. Customers subscribing to the new 10.0 and 15.0 packages also now enjoy faster upload speeds at 1 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps, respectively.
In December, Suddenlink introduced its new High Speed Internet MAX 20.0 service in Enid. That service offers a download speed of up to 20 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 2 Mbps.
All Suddenlink High Speed Internet services in-clude up to 10 e-mail addresses, access to e-mail via WebMail, personal Web-Space and Spam Blocker. Suddenlink High Speed Internet MAX 20.0, 15.0 and 10.0 services include a security suite with parental controls, anti-spyware, anti-virus, firewall and pop-up blocker at no additional cost. Technical support services will continue to available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Suddenlink’s new service enhancements are part of a recently announced $350 million three-year, companywide capital investment program.
As part of that investment program, in February or March Suddenlink expects to introduce its Video on Demand (VOD) service, offering thousands of hours of viewing, with many programs in HD format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library will be free. The rest will be available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. VOD allows viewers to order titles of their choice via remote-control, at any time, and have access to those titles for an extended period; typically 24 hours.
