Pleasant Vale Elementary to hold enrollment Aug. 10
Pleasant Vale Elementary School will hold enrollment for kindergarten through sixth-grade students living in the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale district 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 10. Enrollment will be at the elementary school, 6020 E. Willow.
New students must bring innoculation records, birth certificate and Social Security card. Proof of residency is required for all students enrolling. Free and reduced lunch applications must be filled out on this day.
Pre-kindergarten classes are full at this time. Contact the elementary school to be placed on the waiting list.
Kremlin-Hillsdale school slates enrollment session Wednesday
Kremlin-Hillsdale Public Schools will host an enrollment session for new students 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Returning students may pick up school schedules and other information at the school’s open house, which will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 10.
Athletic physicals for seventh- through 12th-grade students will be 6-7 p.m. Aug. 10 at Northwest Pediatrics, 3201 N. Van Buren. Students are asked to enter through the north door.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
