ENID, Okla. —
Pet adoption and rescue group FURever Friends will have an adoption day and baked goods and craft sale Saturday.
The adoption day and sale will be 11 a.m. until dark at 2320 W. Garriott, between Edward Jones and Wings to Go in Westgate Plaza. People dining Saturday at Wings to Go who mention FURever Friends will have 15 percent of their purchase benefit the group.
“There will be some 20 dogs out there to choose from for people to adopt,” organizer Melba Evans said.
The bake sale will feature cookies, cakes, brownies, cupcakes and cinnamon rolls. The crafts being sold include dog blankets, blankets, OSU and OU items, coasters and pictures. Evans said all the crafts were made by those with connections to the group.
There also will be a Puppy Kissing booth and a raffle for an Oklahoma City Thunder blanket.
FURever Friends uses social networking and other resources to keep animals out of shelters by finding homes for pets, or foster homes, until a FURever home can be found for them.
“Come out and support our animal rescue group and help us save some lives,” Evans said. “Adopt, don’t shop.”
