ENID, Okla. —
Hennessey Hometown Hootenanny will kick off the 2013 season today.
The event will be 7 p.m. at the Hennessey Public Libary auditorium, 525 S. Main.
The lineup for today includes Emily Faith, of Kingfisher; Holly Beth Muret, of Leedey; Cottonwood Cloggers, of Guthrie; pastor Bill Manning, of Jones; Big Joe Matthews, of Nashville by way of Dover; Cristopher Choate, of Hennessey; and Buck Goucher, of Hennessey.
Open mic will be at 6:30 p.m. Performers include “Maverick” Smith, of Hillsdale, and Sherri Bush Wall, of Enid. To sign up, call (405) 853-6212.
Hennessey Lioness Club will serve refreshments at intermission. Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for children 6-12. Proceeds will go to Hennessey United.
Jimmy Berkenbile will be emcee. Cathy Howard is Hootenanny organizer.
Other performances this year will be Feb. 9, March 9, and April 13.
