— OSU student receives scholarship
Andy Lee Ingraham, a junior at Oklahoma State University, has received the ConocoPhillips Spirit Scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Ingraham is a 2007 graduate of Enid High School and currently is pursuing a degree in management information systems. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and is on the Dean’s honor roll.
He is the son of Bruce and Jane Ingraham of Enid and the grandson of Lee and Nancy Ingraham and Mary Allen, all of Enid, and the late J.D.
Wallace selected to be part of band
Jeremy Wallace, an Aline-Cleo seventh-grade student, recently was selected to be a part of Red Carpet Honor Band.
Those who participate in Red Carpet Honor Band must first audition and be chosen before getting to rehearse and play a concert with the band, made of band students from all over the area.
Wallace has been playing the clarinet for two years and was the first band student from Aline-Cleo to be selected to play with Red Carpet Honor Band.
SWOSU student wins of scholarship
Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Bethany Dawn Schmidt or Enid has been named the winner of the 2010 Nancy McClain/American Association of University Women Scholarship presented by the Weatherford AAUW chapter.
Schmidt has a 4.0 grade point average and is majoring in communica-tions/theatre and minoring in interdisciplinary studies.
Schmidt has acted in seven theatrical productions at SWOSU and a served as editor of “The Southwestern,” the university newspaper. She is active in the University Media Association, several honor societies and Baptist Christian Ministries.
Amaral receives master’s degree
Peter Amaral III, of Enid, received his master’s of public administration from the College of Graduate Studies during the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s winter commencement ceremony Dec. 18, 2009, at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
