— Covington Lions Club will sponsor a pancake and sausage supper beginning at 5 p.m. today at the school cafeteria prior to the Covington-Douglas versus Kremlin-Hillsdale basketball game. It will be senior night with festivities starting at 6:10 p.m.

Quenten Thayer and Dako-ta Schoeling, of Covington-Douglas FFA, attended the legislature dinner Jan. 4 in Oklahoma City and met all the representatives and senators of our area.

Covington-Douglas 4-H members Emily Franke, Anna Franke and Trevor Franke have attended several jackpot hog shows. Anna has had three reserve champions with her Spot, Emily has had second and third with her Duroc and Trevor has had second and third with his Berkshire.

Covington-Douglas FFA eighth-graders attended the eighth-grade leadership conference Jan. 12 in Glencoe. Those attending were Matt Harak, McKayla Scott, Ethan Russell, Brett Hobson, Charles Streck, Lawerence Kirk, Dusty Synder and Tabor Cook.

Covington-Douglas FFA agronomy teams participated in NOC Interscholastic Jan. 20. Individual awards received were Quenten Thayer, first; Dakota Schoeling, second; Cliff Jones, third; Matt Harak, fifth; Harley Adams, sixth; Kandice Rupp, seventh; Daniel Adams, 10th.

Covington town board met Jan. 6 and declared a 1974 4010 John Deere Backhoe as surplus.

A valentine dinner is planned Feb. 13 at the Covington Fire Station. It will be hosted and prepared by United Methodist Wo-men. Dinner choice is steak or chicken. Call Susian Grantz for reservations by Sunday at (580) 864-7899. Procceds will go toward the Covington UMW mission projects.
