ENID, Okla. —
Enid Fire Department responded Thursday to a report of a fire at Enid Event Center downtown.
Firefighters responding to 200 S. Grand after the 11:52 a.m. call found construction crews were cutting steel with a torch and had ignited a plywood concrete form.
Assistant Fire Marshall Todd Hays said the building itself didn’t catch fire and firefighters were on scene for about 15 minutes. Firefighters got on top of the roof and extinguished the fire.
No damage was caused to the building and only the plywood concrete form burned.
