ENID, Okla. —
Northern Oklahoma College will host a veterans reception Monday.
Veterans and their family are welcome to attend, both to be honored for their service and to take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about veteran’s education benefits.
“Veterans make up a valued part of Northern Oklahoma College,” said Brad Gordon, NOC veteran services coordinator. “We would like to publicly display and extend our gratitude, appreciation and thanks to all veterans who have served in the armed forces of the United States.”
The reception will be come-and-go 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Gantz Center on the NOC campus.
“We would like to encourage all veterans to attend so we can thank them for the sacrifices they have made for our freedom,” Gordon said.
Light fare will be provided, and patriotic lapel pins will be given away while the supply lasts.
A Wall of Honor has been established on the NOC website. If you are an NOC student, employee, alumni or community resident who has served in the armed forces and wish to be listed, contact Gordon at (580) 628-6224 or brad.gordon@north-ok.edu. Gordon will be available at the reception to answer questions about veteran’s education benefits.
