ONG plans 2006 changes

The Oklahoma Natural Gas office in Enid will ring in 2006 with some changes.

Effective Jan. 1, customer walk-in service at the 421 N. Garland office will end.

Customers, however, still will be able to make payments at many businesses throughout town.

"We still intend to provide excellent customer service," said ONG manager Martie Oyler, of Enid.

In addition to having access to make in-person payments at Security National Bank, Mail Room in Sunset Plaza and using a drop box at Bank of Oklahoma, ONG customers will be able to go to United Supermarket, which was added as a new location about a week ago, Oyler said.

Payments also can be made online and by way of credit card. ONG also offers payment options, such as Voluntary Fixed Price Plan, which locks in at a set price per dekatherm, or an average payment plan that is a monthly average payment amount based on the prior 12 months of service.

Oyler suggested customers look at ONG's Web page (www.ong.com), which explains payment options and lists locations where customers can make payments in-person.

ONG customers who wish to participate in the Voluntary Fixed Price Plan have until Monday to return their enrollment forms.

Oyler, too, is involved in a change that will become effective at the first of the year. She is expanding her capacities to assist with economic development and responsibilities throughout the western half of ONG's service area.

The longtime ONG employee has been active throughout the years with Enid civic duties and volunteer activities.

"ONG has always encouraged its employees to be a part of the community and provide support for a stronger state of Oklahoma," Oyler said.
