The purpose of my letter to the editor is to prevent chaos in restaurants. This issue is of great concern to Enid residents especially those who own or work in restaurants. My main concern is for those who work in IHOP or other 24-hour restaurants. IHOP in particularly has a problem with loud, obnoxious alcoholics at 2 in the morning when the bars are closed.
These alcoholics are not only irritating to the employees who are working there, but also to customers who are eating there. I recently visited IHOP at this time of morning and witnessed a drunken man screaming at the waitress and customers sitting at the table next to him.
I think to prevent this problem our Enid police officers should stop more people for drinking and driving or eating at IHOP at this time of morning and do something about these people disturbing the peace in a public facility.
