Prior to Monday’s afternoon game, the Enid Majors conducted a phantom pregame warmup on the field. With the players lined up at their positions, assistant coach Chris Jensen pretended to bat balls to the outfielders and infielders, who pretended to throw and catch a make-believe ball.
Second baseman Kelly Padilla really got into the act, pretending to catch errant throws in the dirt or wide throws to the bag. Players in the Enid dugout got into the act as well. First baseman Zach Gonzalez jumped high for a (pretend) throw from shortstop Seth Floyd and the players in the dugout scattered away from the (pretend) throw.
