Booker T. Washington, Carver to have
alumni celebration this weekend
Everyone who attended Enid’s Booker T. Washington and Carver schools from 1929 to 1969 is invited to attend the alumni celebration Friday through Sunday at Booker T. Washington Center, First Baptist Church, Cherokee Strip Conference Center and Southern Height Community Center. Contact Orville Hazley, Phillip Owens, Vera Porter or Denise Smith for information.
Old Settlers Reunion set for Sunday
The Old Settlers Reunion will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday with a potluck lunch in Grand, 11 miles south of Arnett and four miles west of Holloway Ranch. Bring lawn chairs. Kiwanis will give a plaque for the oldest person in attendance. Trail ride begins at Camargo and ends at Grand.
