Ragains-50th
Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Ragains will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a come-and-go reception for family and friends 2-5 p.m. Aug. 30 at Runnymede, Flynn and 4th, Alva. Cards may be sent to P.O. Box 73, Burlington, OK 73722.
Herschel Ragains and Betty Hill were married Aug. 26, 1959, in Waldron, Kan.
He worked on a farm for several years before working at Burlington Cooperative, where he was manager at the feed mill. He retired in 2002. He also served 25 years for Oklahoma National Guard. She was a bus driver for Burlington schools for three years while attending the vo-tech in Alva. She later worked for Hal Brizzolara at Northwestern Record and Tax from 1979 to 2002. She is a member of Driftwood Christian Church, Driftwood.
Their children are Brad and Lee Ragains, Kingfisher, and Ronda Palmer, Springfield, Colo. They have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
