Reunions for 8/8/09
Carrier
The Carrier community annual reunion will be held Aug. 15 at Chisholm Trail Pavilion on Garfield County Fairgrounds. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. with a covered dish dinner at 6.
The Carrier graduating class of 1959 will be honored for their 50th. Everyone who is or has been a part of the Carrier community or attended Carrier schools is encouraged to bring a covered dish and participate.
Cinnamon
Eighty-seven descendants attended the Cinnamon family reunion held Aug. 2 at Breckinridge Community Center.
Recognition went to 4-month-old Walter Coltrane Tovar, son of Jamie and Jason Tovar of Tulsa, for being the youngest in attendance; Kathleen and Kurt Linitelmann of Littleton, Colo., for traveling the farthest; most newly married was Angie Thralls and Ben Reinschmidt of Enid, who were married July 18, 2009; married the longest at 62 years was Ray Gene and Libby Cinnamon of Garber, who also had the most family members in attendance.
Those attending from out-of-state were Kurt and Kathleen Lintelmann, Littleton, Colo.; Eric Ryan Lintelmann, Abilene, Kan.; Jason and Lesli Bollman, Wichita, Kan.; Sharie and Eva Mitchell, McKinney, Texas; Ron and Nita Pope, Olsburg, Kan.; Russell Pope, El Dorado, Kan.; and Ronny Pope and fiancé Kelsey Frazier, Seward, Neb.
Newly-elected officers for 2010 are Joyce Cinnamon Masters, president; Nita Cinnamon, vice president; and Angie Thralls Reinschmidt, secretary and treasurer. Paula Cinnamon will e-mail correspondence.
The next reunion is set for noon Aug. 1, 2010, at Breckinridge Community Center.
Buller
Eighty-four descendants attended the Joe Buller family reunion and potluck dinner held Aug. 1 at Enid Mennonite Brethren Church. The youngest attending was 6 months old and the oldest was 92 years old. There was entertainment and a volleyball game.
Family members traveled from Kansas, Nebraska, Florida, Indiana and Colorado.
