Garber reunion slated



Garber Alumni Association will hold its 2012 all-school reunion Nov. 10.

Events begin at 9 a.m. in the school lobby with morning refreshments. A buffet lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m., followed by a business meeting at about 1 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Officers for 2013-14 will be elected.

Garber Endowment Funds Committee anticipates the announcement its goal of endowing $100,000 with Community Foundation of Oklahoma has been attained.

The endowment will allow GAA to provide four scholarships of $1,200 each to deserving GHS graduates.

“The alumni of Garber schools must be very proud that their generosity will provide a brighter future for our graduates,” said GAA Treasurer Kathy Hughes.

In addition to the all-school reunion, the classes of 1962 and 1963 will hold their 50th-year anniversary celebrations. The class of ’62 will have dinner and reminisce at Ramada Inn in Enid. The class of ’63 will meet at the Best Western Inn in Enid. For details, go to the Garber School’s website at www.garber.k12.ok .us.
