Frost on the pumpkins this weekend? Check it out

ENID, Okla. — Winds will shift from light southerly to gusty northerly today, ushering in a cold front that will dip temperatures to their lowest this fall.

National Weather Service calls for partly sunny skies today and north to northeast wind at 11 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

The high will only reach into the upper-60s, topping out at 68, according to NWS predictions for Enid.

Rain chances begin tonight, with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms. Skies will be cloudy with gusty north winds and a low of around 48.

Rain chances will remain at 20 percent throughout Friday and Saturday, and winds will continue from the north and gusting into the 20-30 mph range.

Highs will reach only to near 60 on Friday, and temperatures will dip into low-40s to high 30s that night, according to NWS meteorologists.

Saturday's high only will reach near 55 and the low will fall to 35, with patchy frost possible after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures will rebound somewhat beginning next week, with highs in the 50s Sunday, near 70 Monday and in the 70s Tuesday.
