Reimer-Schwedland, 95



Dorothy Reimer-Schwed-land will celebrate her 95th birthday with a reception 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She was born July 23, 1912, to Ross and Lily Lyle.

She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Her children are Henry Reimer, Jacksonville, Texas, and the late Jessie Moravits. She has five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.



Osburn, 90



Arnold Osburn will celebrate his 90th birthday Friday. Cards may be sent to 3706 King St., Apt. 1011, Enid, OK, 73703.

He was born July 27, 1917, in Edgewood, near Hunter, to Clara S. and Cash J. Osburn. He moved to Salt Fork with his parents in 1922. He graduated from Lamont High School.

During World War II he served as a radio operator with the Air Force in the Pacific on the Island of Saipan. Following the war he worked for Frisco Railroad as a telegraph operator, retiring after 30 years.

In 1955 he married Mattie Oliver Grim. They made their home in Goltry. She died in 1997. He married Lorene Ingmire in 2006. They live in Enid.

Chapman, 80



Doris Chapman will celebrate her 80th birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at 821 N. Eisenhower.

She was born July 30, 1927, in Hays, Kan., to C.J. and Victoria Do-erfler. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1946 and attended Enid Busi-ness Col-lege.

She married Dale Chapman in 1947 in Enid. They owned and managed Chapman’s Grocery for 30 years and sold real estate with Century 21 in the 1980s. She was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for several years. She currently works at The Commons (formerly The Methodist Home of Enid).

She is a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Her daughters are Connie Chapman, Martinez, Calif.; Mickey Chapman, Gallup, N.M.; Terri Chapman, Chandler; and Tami Goe, Oklahoma City. She has two grandchildren.
