Events to GET OUT for this weekend 11/20/09

Home for the Holidays Home Show

9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday

Chisholm Trail Expo Center



Nearly 180 vendors will be on hand to satisfy local shoppers’ holiday needs this weekend during Home for the Holidays Home Show at Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

The event will include crafters and gift vendors, as well as candles, jewelry, purses, soaps, yard and home decorations, homemade foods, pottery and more.

The popularity of the holiday show is in part due to the wide variety of gift vendors available. Santa will be at the show gathering Christmas wish lists form the kids.

Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. The show is produced by C & M Productions Group.

Santa’s Showcase Christmas Craft Show

9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday

Hoover Building



Crafters from four different states will be on hand for the annual Santa’s Showcase craft show.

Offerings will include dolls, baby clothes and items, blankets, hair bows, necklaces and jewelry of all kinds. Crafters will also offer leather, wood and metal art.

Other items include candles and home-baked goods.

Sumner Winter Round Up Series

8 p.m. Saturday

Fairgrounds Pavilion Arena



Sumner Winter Round Up series continues this November with events scheduled Saturday and Nov. 28 at the Pavilion Arena at Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

The roundup is held every Saturday in November as well as Feb. 6 and 13 and March 13 and 21. Admission is $5 and kids 10 and younger are admitted free.

The event includes open bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronco riding and novice bull riding. Those participating must attend six to eight events to qualify for awards.

Sumner Winter Roundup is sponsored by KOFM Hot Country 103.1 and Way Out West.

Daze in a Maze

Saturday and Sunday



The season for Daze in a Maze is coming to a close with only two weekends left to enjoy this annual fall event.

Daze in a Maze is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. to dusk Sunday through Thanksgiving weekend. Includes walk-through mazes, petting zoo and a pumpkin patch. Admission is $6.
