Veterans and active duty military will receive free admission to National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum on Veterans Day, which is observed Nov. 9.
“Even though we are a museum based in Oklahoma, we have a great respect for those serving in America’s military around the world, and it is great to be able to give something back to our veterans,” said Chuck Schroeder, museum president.
All active duty, active reserve, Ready Reserve Service members, National Guard, Coalition Forces members and retirees, any prior military, American Legion members and VFW members are eligible for free admission. They may bring up to five guests free of charge during regular museum hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 9. Proof of military ID is required.
The museum also offers discounted daily admission for active military with an ID.
National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is located at the junction of Interstate 44 and Interstate 35 in Oklahoma City.
