Scott’s art to be shown in Texas
The artwork of local artist LaVern Scott has been accepted in the 2009 Red River Valley International Juried Art Exhibition to be held May 1-June 19 at The Red River Valley Museum in Vernon, Texas.
She submitted “Early Spring Garden,” “April Garden” and “Southern Beauties.”
The Red River Valley Museum promotes and supports excellence and diversity in arts education.
The museum is free and open to the public 1-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. It is located adjacent to the Vernon College campus.
