Cherokee Strip Conference Center

Enid’s premier bridal planning event is set for Saturday evening at Cherokee Strip Conference Center.

This will be the perfect opportunity for couples to talk to vendors who specialize in photography, floral arrangements, catering, bridal wear, wedding and reception venues and everything that has to do with putting on a beautiful wedding.

Don’t miss this opportunity to find out how to craft the wedding of your dreams. Tickets are on sale for $8 at the Bridal Shop and Enid Floral and also are available at the door.

Free Movie Night: ‘Soul Surfer’

7:30 p.m. Saturday

Pumpkin Patch, Christ United Methodist Church

Bring your favorite blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening with the family and the inspiring story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, through her sheer determination and unwavering faith.

"Soul Surfer" features an all-star cast & the music of Carrie Underwood. Admission is free and snacks are provided.  2418 W. Randolph.

First Friday and Oktoberfest

Downtown Enid

Get ready for some good German food, music and fun during this month’s First Friday and Oktoberfest celebration in Downtown Enid.

Enjoy some special music and outdoor beer gardens at some locations around the square tonight.

Several stores will stay open later on the downtown square and restaurants are offering special music and menus. Local and area musicians will perform free entertainment. Fling at the Springs

4-11 p.m. Saturday

Government Springs Park

Fling at the Springs, an outdoor music festival, is set for this Saturday from 4-11 p.m. in Government Springs Park.

The music festival is free and will feature some of the Enid area’s favorite musicians.

You’re invited to come out and bring your favorite beverage of choice and lawn chairs to enjoy an afternoon and evening of music. No glass bottles or hard liquor will be allowed, but beer and wine are permitted.

The tentative lineup is as follows (this is subject to change):



4 p.m. – Kiowa

4:30 – Scott Carson

5 – Gypsy Twang

5:45 – Tom Skinner

6:30 – Cx3

7:30 – Chad Sullins and the Last Call Coalition

8:30 –  Piper Leigh and the Smoking Section
