ENID —
Free events for the 20th annual Enid Intertribal Native American Awareness Week will begin 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid Commons Area, with food tasting provided by members of Intertribal Club. Featured foods will include spicy and mild Posole, Wojapi, pumpkin and corn, berries, fry bread, meat pies and grape dumplings.
The Native American Awareness Gourd Dance will be 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Hoover Building at Garfield County Fairgrounds. Supper is served at 5 p.m. Head staff includes: John Shotton, MC; Nolen Grant, Head Gourd Dancer; Angie Littleman, Head Lady Dancer; Michael Plumley, Head Singer; and Michael Plumley.
