Graveside service for Iva Jean Rose will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, in Alva Municipal Cemetery, with Rev. Ron Pingelton and David Hamil officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Alva.
Iva Jean Rose, daughter of the late Albert Nathan and Revenna Luella (Arndt) Rose, was born July 3, 1932, on the farm near Cora and passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2012, in Bartlesville, Okla., at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 12 days.
Jean attended Farry School until her family moved to Alva, where she graduated from Alva High School in 1951.
Upon finishing school, she went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in the Alva office. Being offered promotions, she moved to the Enid office, then later to Oklahoma City, where she retired after some 44 years with the company.
After retiring, she lived in Oklahoma City, then moving back to Enid, where she enjoyed dining with retired Southwest Bell employees. She later moved to Caney, Kan., to be closer to family members.
She enjoyed bowling with friends and reading a good book.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Alma Viola Rose; her brother, Albert L. “Bud” Rose; and a sister, Gladys Ellen Rose.
Jean is survived by four very important nephews in her life, Leonard Max Rose and wife Mary of Alva, DeWayne Lee Rose and wife Kathy of Caney, Kan., Lester Gene Rose and wife Nancy of Wichita, Kan., and Keith Allen Rose and wife Brenda of Alva; several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Floyd 'Ty' Lytle II
A memorial service for Floyd “Ty” Wayne Lytle II, age 53, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Addison (JR) Ools officiating.
Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid. -
Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history. -
Harold H. Jantzen
The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College. -
James M. Dillard
Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. -

Evie was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Mott, N.D., to Joe and Anna (Mayer) Miller and died May 21, 2013 in Enid.
She is survived by sons, Ivan, Sherlem, and Allan Zimbelman; daughters, Sharon Woods and Shelley Rauh; brothers, Harvey Miller and Dennis Miller; and one grandson, J.R. Zimbelman. -
