ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Iva Lee Crabb, 88, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 29, 1924, on her grandparents homestead, three miles from Erick, Okla., to R.E. and Marie Vance and passed away in Enid.

She attended school in Erick, Okla., and graduated high school in Union, Miss. Later, she attended Junior College at Pratt, Kan.

Lee married Dale E. Crabb July 1, 1949.

During WWII Lee served as a hostess for the USO and received a pin for 5,000 hours as a volunteer.

She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1946. Lee held several offices in her chapter.

She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, worked at the contact Crisis Telephone Ministries, and was a volunteer at Bass Baptist Hospital.

Lee was a member of First Baptist Church since 1960, when the family moved back to Enid.

She taught Sunday school, served in WMU, was a member of the choir and Prime Timers. Lee was a real prayer warrior for those in need.

Lee and Dale also hosted numerous functions in their home and were members of a group, which played cards regularly.

Lee is survived by three sons, Dale, Mark and David as well as two daughters-in-law. Lee also leaves eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

The family wishes to thank all of Lee’s friends, all the people at Hospice Circle of Love, and Carla Henigman for all the comfort and loving care during her last days.

Memorials may be made in her name to First Baptist Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

A memorial service for Floyd “Ty” Wayne Lytle II, age 53, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Addison (JR) Ools officiating.
Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid.

Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history.

Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College.

Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
