ENID —
Ronney Dale Maphet, 80, Enid native and beloved husband, father and grandfather, joined his Lord and savior Monday, Nov. 19, 2012.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 23, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. John McLemore and Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ron was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Enid, Okla., to Leonard Arthur and Millie Madeoline “Decker.”
Ron graduated from Enid High School in 1950, and Oklahoma A&M in 1958, with a degree in industrial engineering and management.
After graduating from OAMC, Ron worked for Hackney Iron and Steel and Durametalic for 10 years in Houston, Texas, before moving to Beaumont, Texas, where he worked as a sales engineer for Esco/Durametalic for another 10 years. Ron retired to various other jobs and areas, and returned to his hometown of Enid in 2003.
Ron was a member of Central Christian Church of Enid and the church choir.
He was an accomplished pilot, multiengine- and instrument-rated.
Ron served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, then as a member of the National Guard, serving as operations sergeant/major from 1956 to 1958. He enjoyed all sports, golfing, swimming, boating and he especially loved singing and dancing.
Ron is survived by wife of 56 years, Patricia Jean “Grayson” Maphet of Enid; son, Brodrick Maphet and wife Lisa of College Station, Texas; Greg Maphet and wife Jacque of Leander, Texas; daughter, Natalie Schuermann and husband Van of Enid, Okla.; son, Len Maphet and wife Candice of Cedar Park, Texas; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Davenport and husband Melvin of Concordia, Kan.; and sister, Olive Traylor of Enid, Okla.
Ron is preceded in death by his sister, Almeda Ivans; brother, John Maphet; brother, Gerald “Bud” Maphet; and sister, Ethel Jorgenson.
Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church or Wounded Warrior Program.

Floyd 'Ty' Lytle II

Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid. -
Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history. -
Harold H. Jantzen
The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College. -
James M. Dillard
Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
