ENID — Funeral for Gary Thrasher, 72, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gary was born to Clint and Doris (Horsley) Thrasher November 23, 1939, in Enid, and passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012, in Enid.

Gary grew up in Enid, graduating from Enid High in 1957. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a master’s degree in electrical engineering.

On June 25, 1966, he married Jane Coon in Muskogee, and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas, where Gary worked for Boeing. They moved to Enid in 2001.

Gary was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Gideons. He enjoyed working on his computer, gardening and helping people.

He is survived by his wife Jane of the home; son John Paul Thrasher of Wichita, Kansas; mother Doris Thrasher of Enid; grandson Joseph; brothers Gene Thrasher of Lawton and Clint Thrasher Jr. of Enid; and sister Irene Carey of Enid.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Clint Sr.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church. Condolences at www.andersonburris.com.
