Enid, OK — The family memorial service for Matt C. Rummel, 82, of Enid, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
He was born Feb. 10, 1927, in Attwood, Kan., to Matt C. and Sharlet M. Bautock Rummel and died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at his home.
He grew up in Kansas and Colorado.
He married Mary Bullock in 1949, in Delta, Colo., where they made their home. He worked in construction. They moved to Enid in 1970, where he retired from construction work. He was a member of Jehovah Witness.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, of the home; two sons, Robert D. Rummel of Drummond and Douglas E. Rummel of Enid; one daughter, Robin Rummel of Enid; one brother, Eugene Rummel of Norwood, Colo.; three sisters, Pauline Muich of Montrose, Colo., Ester Cohn of Phoenix and Verdine Rummel of Ok-lahoma City; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Memorials may be made to Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.
