Enid, OK — WATONGA — The funeral for Leota Marie Smith, 69, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Eagle City Christian Church. The Rev. Monte Michaelson will officiate. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga.

She was born July 9, 1940, in Tribbey to Albert and Darlie Davis Brown and died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009. She was a resident of the Watonga community her entire life and a cook for Watonga schools for 26 years. She attended Southard schools and graduated from Canton High School.

She married Jodie Smith March 27, 1958, in El Reno. She was a member of Eagle City Christian Church and had previously been a reserve deputy for Blaine County Sheriff’s Department.

She was preceded in death by one son and one brother.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Eddie Smith of Watonga; two daughters, Jolina Marie Smith of Enid and Kelli Michelle Gorton of Carrollton, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
