Enid, OK — The graveside service for Verda L. Liggenstoffer Miller, 90, of Kiowa, Kan., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Kiowa.
She was born April 24, 1919, in Barber County, Kan., to Henry J. and E. Mae Alberding Liggenstoffer and died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
She attended Friendship School in Alfalfa County and Kiowa High School.
She married James E. Miller Aug. 31, 1940. She lived in Kiowa, Burlington and Wichita, Kan.
She worked at Mabel’s Café, Kiowa Sales Co., Brattin’s Sweet Shop, Humphrey Implement, Kiowa IGA and was custodian for United Methodist Church from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Surviving are three daughters, Sharen Jahnke of Tampa, Fla., and Patsy Wilson and Peggy Mason, both of Kiowa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
